Teachers and parents need to work together, to ensure that children meet the objectives of the set homework.
Parents can do this by: 1) Motivating and supporting their child 2) Establishing and designating a proper study area, where it is quiet and there are no distractions such as TV, games or computers. 3) Homework being given a priority in the daily family schedule. 4) Communicating clearly to teachers, when unusual situations occur within the family, which means homework has not been completed as expected by the due date.
